DreamStreet Theatre Company has recently formed an alliance with The Academy of Purpose (AOP), an educational consulting service. This alliance allows DreamStreet Theatre Company to extend its impact to the community by combining scholarly, educationally-themed programming to its current cultural arts initiatives.

The Academy of Purpose specializes in professionally developed life skills resource materials including topics on communication and leadership skills, critical thinking and problem-solving, and healthy self-esteem development in order to plan for life achievement.

Additionally, AOP provides customizable special programming for teens through all-day or half-day Self-Esteem Mentoring Tours and Teen Empowerment Tours.

The Academy of Purpose also provides professional development opportunities for Educators ranging from:

• Professional Development Workshops to provide support, enrichment curriculum materials and training for teachers and mentors to use in their classrooms or organizations. These resources are for those who are active mentors, turnaround teachers, and educators with a heightened interest in teaching life skill competencies, resiliency, and self-empowerment as an investment in students as future leaders, to bring about positive emotional, social and behavioral outcomes in students.

• Exclusive, invitation only certification opportunity to become a facilitator to deliver licensed life skills/educational training to teens, in a Self-Empowerment Global Initiative
